“ENTRE DOS… Y ALMERÍA”, A NEW EXHIBITION AT MOJÁCAR'S ART GALLERY

Mojácar’s Municipal Art Gallery, “La Fuente” has opened the exhibition “Entre dos… y Almería”, showcasing recent works from two Almerían painters, Diego Fábregas and Cristóbal Fernández, who display their inspiration for the area’s incredible light and unmistakable landscapes.

Diego Fabregas was born in 1957 in Taberno, Almería, studying at Albox and, from an early age he felt drawn towards art and poetry.
He has edited poetry books such as “
Lento el Arado, “Los Exilios”, “Dios Menor”, “Fe de Vida”, as well as other publications such as “Guía Fácil, Edible Setas Comestibles de Almería”. He is a collaborator with the History and Ethnography “Velezana Magazine” and takes part in various Almerían collective poetry works, as well as exhibiting his photography and painting in the region.

Crisóbla Fernández, also from Almeria, boasts an extensive career as a versatile painter, sculptor and designer, exhibiting widely in Spain as well as internationally.  A member of the 80s Sevillano Group, his work has moved from abstract expressionism and evolved towards a conceptual, gestural style of painting in which the ‘action’ of its production is of key importance. His own way of thinking, passions and lifestyle are always expressed in his diverse art whether it be on a canvas, in steel or in stone.           This interesting collective exhibition can be seen, free of charge, at the Centro de Art "La Fuente" until September 30th. Opening hours are, Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
