MORE THAN A MILLION VIEW MOJÁCAR  BEACH VIDEOS ON FACEBOOK

 

Mojácar Councils’ Tourism Department has recently released some feedback on their successful promotional campaign that focused on the town’s beaches, running from June until the middle of October.

The campaign was made up of 4 high quality videos that were set along different areas of the beach which appeared on all the social networks.   Although their popularity was expected to be high, the actual results have exceeded all expectations.

The diversity of the town’s beaches along its 17km coastline was was the overall feature of the short videos, showing off the stunning landscape, coastal views and facilities that await visitors. The beach areas, including those awarded with Blue Flag or SICTED quality seals, along the with Mojácar’s magical coves, have generated thousands of comments and discussions between social network users.

The first video, Playas Vírgenes published on 27 June, featured Mojácar’s natural virgin beaches and was viewed by 259,180 people with 100,655 shares.

Mojácar Sur, showing the southern zone, was launched on July 12, showing the beach route along Venta del Bancal, Las Ventanicas, Cueva del Lobo and Lance Nuevo,which was viewed 164,526 times with 79,206 shares.

The third video showing the central coastal area between the Pueblo Indalo and Parador Hotels, Mojácar Centro, was released on July 30, spotlighting El Cantal, Vista de los Angeles and Piedra Villazar beaches, which attracted 281,277 likes and 98,112 shares.

The final video of the campaign, Mojácar Norte, made its appearance on August 14, showing the northern strip beaches Playa del Descargador, La Rumina, El Palmeral and Marina de la Torre, which pulled in 349,055 views and 104,000 shares.  As well as these high figures for views and shares, the set of videos also prompted 58,240 Facebook comments. 

Mojácar Council, through its Tourism Department, entrusted Taller e Marketing Filming to take charge of the campaign production and according to the Tourism Councillor, Emmanuel Agüero, the shelf life of the videos is anything but over.  Soon and for coming months, they are set for a rerun, as Mojácar’s coast is great to enjoy at any time of the year with the town’s wonderful weather.
