DUTCH TV CHANNEL KPN SHOOTS NEW SERIES IN MOJÁCAR
Mojácar has again been chosen as the setting for the filming of a TV series that will show images of the town to many European viewers.
The Dutch television channel KPN, in collaboration with the producer Endelmolshine, are recording a new series in Mojácar called “Bruselas” that will undoubtedly be a big success in Dutch TV ratings when it goes on air in January next year.
Although the plot of this new series revolves around the city of Brussels that gives it its name, the many intrigues and mysteries of the main characters take them to landscapes of Afghanistan and Africa. The directors found the perfect scenery and atmosphere for both, in Mojácar.
The film crew, consisting of 40 Spanish and 20 Dutch members spent four days filming in the town. In total, around 400 people are involved and working on the whole series.
Under the direction of Arno Dierickx, “Bruselas” has all the ingredients for success: power, ambition, a major oil company that has contacts with major producing countries, love and adventure. This has raised great expectations among the target audience and guarantees a significant number of viewers.
Aty Soesbergen, Head of Production in Spain, was very happy with work they did in Mojácar as well as the excellent cooperation shown by the local council. Mojácar will now be kept in mind as a good option for future productions.
It is no surprise that with the versatility and diversity of Mojácar and its surroundings, it has been chosen many times for all kinds of filming including advertisements, contests and movies. As a result, Mojácar is being seen in homes all over the world which is therefore a major aid to tourist promotion of the town.
