The Local Authority signs collaboration agreements with eight municipalities to triple officer numbers and guarantee security during high season.

Mojácar Council has announced a significant reinforcement of its security forces for this summer thanks to the signing of collaboration agreements with eight Andalucían municipalities. This measure will increase the police force from the current 23 officers to a total of 73, representing an increase of more than 300%.

This reinforcement is in response to the significant increase in population Mojácar experiences during the summer months, when the influx of tourists increases the need for control, surveillance and citizen assistance.

The Mayor of Mojácar, Francisco García, gave a very positive assessment of this measure, affirming: "Security is an absolute priority for this government team. With this historic increase in police personnel, Mojácar will be able to deal with the challenges of summer with guarantees, ensuring coexistence, peace and quiet and a rapid response to any incident."

Thanks to institutional collaboration, we have achieved an effective, agile and responsible solution to providing a quality service to both our residents and the thousands of visitors who choose Mojácar as their destination each year", he added.

The Local Council will continue working to improve security resources, incorporating technology and material resources, and promoting coordination with regional and state security forces.

With this measure, Mojácar consolidates itself as a safe, modern tourist destination, prepared to respond to high seasonal demand.
