Divna Nikolic presents a large exhibition of her works at the Art Centre "La Fuente" in Mojácar

Vigente.

This past Monday 2nd of June, the inauguration of the exhibition Nikodim by Serbian artist Divna Nikolic took place at Mojácar's Municipal Art Centre ‘La Fuente’ in the presence of the Councillor for Culture, Noemí Linares.

For this exhibition in Mojácar, the artist has selected a total of 83 works made with different techniques, including engravings, oil paintings and mosaics on natural stones. The exhibition is well worth a visit to appreciate the exquisiteness, diversity and creativity of the artist.

Serbian-born Divna Nikolic is a visual artist, mosaicist, art teacher and writer who has been living in Spain for more than 20 years, where she runs several art workshops. She learned the technique of mosaic while she was studying and continues to work on it, cutting each of the stones that make up her works one by one.

Divna's mastery in the use of mosaic components allows her to develop works that possess a richness and depth comparable to that of the most sophisticated paintings, demonstrating how this ancient art can be reinvented and continue to amaze in the contemporary era.

This new exhibition will not leave visitors indifferent, and you can admire the works of the Serbian artist until 29 June. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artist herself every Saturday at the Cultural Centre ‘La Fuente’ as she shares her experience with those attending.
