Mojácar Council hands out 13.000 masks to residents

Vigente.

Mojácar Council is set to hand out 13,000 surgical masks to people in the town on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Centro de Usos Múltiples in the Pueblo. To receive them, however, it is essential to be registered on the Padrón and take your DNI / NIE details.

The masks have been donated by Almería Provincial Council to those municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants. Earlier, they made an additional distribution of 600,000 masks, added to the different deliveries of sanitary materials made by the Provincial Council amongst the smallest municipalities in the province since the Covid-19 pandemic was declared.

Mojácar Council, in addition to distributing the materials provided by Almería Provincial Council, has also made every effort to protect residents from the first moment the health alarm began, and confinement was announced.

This ranged from the door-to-door distribution of masks to each person in the town, to the delivery of goods and assistance given to those businesses needing sanitary materials and different safety measures.

Mojácar City Council also reinforced, from the first moment, all town cleaning, with a particular re-enforcement in the areas of highest usage and foot traffic, such as pharmacies, supermarkets, banks, and bus stops.
